I get a Login Session Expired when I try to login. What's wrong?
Your browser's temporary files may have a cookie from a previous session
or you are using AOL's internal browser. You should clear these
files and then try to login again. Note, you may have to clean the files
and cookies more than once.
Steps to clear Internet Explorer's temporary files:
- Click on Tools in Internet Explorer's toolbar, and then click on Internet
Options in the menu that comes up.
- Depending on the version, you should see Delete Files and possibly
Delete Cookies. Click on Delete Files and check the box for Delete
all Offline content. If you have the Delete Cookies option, click
on it and answer Yes to the confirmation question.
- Try to login again. If you continue experiencing this problem
after clearing the temporary files, contact Admissions at (731) 425-8844
or Records at (731) 425-2654.
Steps to clear Netscape's temporary files:
- Click on Edit in Netscape's toolbar, and then click on Preferences.
- Double-click on Advanced in the left-hand column and click on Cache.
- Click on Clear Memory Cache and Clear Disk Cache, answering Yes to
confirmation questions.
- Try to login again. If you continue experiencing this problem
after clearing the temporary files, contact Admissions at (731) 425-8844
or Records at (731) 425-2654.
Steps for AOL & CompuServe users:
If you are using a Windows operating system, then you should have Internet
Explorer installed. If not, you should download the latest version of
Internet Explorer
or Netscape.
- First connect to the Internet with AOL (or CompuServe) and then minimize it.
- Next, find either the blue E for Internet Explorer or N for Netscape
on your desktop or look for them in the Start -> Programs list. Use
either one to connect to Student Self Service .
- If you still experience the "session has expired" login
problem, look above to the appropriate browser and perform the steps
to clear out the temporary Internet files and cookies. Note, you may
have to clean the files and cookies more than once.
